Pulsar Petroleum, with the SPE Northern Iraq Section and Tishk International University, organized and hosted a Drilling Fluid Competition at TIU mud labs. Students from SPE Chapters of Northern Iraq Universities participated in written exams and practical exercises. Performance was judged, and winners were rewarded.

The competition was designed to assess both the theoretical understanding and practical application of drilling fluid principles. Students, working in teams, participated in a two-stage evaluation process:

Stage 1: Written Examination

The competition commenced with a written examination. This examination tested the students' theoretical knowledge of drilling fluid engineering, covering several topics.

Stage 2: Practical Exercise

Following the written examination, the participating teams proceeded to the practical exercise. This part of the competition provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their practical skills in a laboratory setting
